The Paris Community Theatre Board of Directors is launching a “Raise the Roof” campaign this fall.

Donations from the fundraising campaign will be used to make necessary repairs to the roofs of both the Plaza Theatre on the square and the PCT Brown Centre of Creative Arts on Clarksville Street.

The PCT Board is hoping to raise $20,000 through donations from individuals and local businesses as well as from grants by the end of the year.

President of the PCT Board Sydney Young said, “The Paris Community Theatre has always depended upon the generous support of the community. We are so grateful for every donation, whether it is $1 or $100.”

The Plaza Theatre is home to all mainstage productions and the Brown Centre on Clarksville street houses all the costumes, scripts and the musical collection for the Paris Community Choir. In addition, theatre and art classes are held at the Centre as well as auditions, rehearsals and set building.
