Huge crowd expected at Tinsel & Tidings 2012

Every year, for the past 25 years, YWCA Paris and Lamar County have ushered in the holiday season with their annual Tinsel & Tidings arts and crafts bazaar. This year is no exception. The Love Civic Center will play host to the 25th annual Tinsel & Tidings fair Saturday from 9 4 p.m.

The holiday-themed arts and crafts bazaar looks to see a wide variety of vendors, both inside and outside of the Love Civic Center, from all over Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. If home and holiday décor, candles, jewelry, art, and crafts are your thing, Tinsel & Tidings is definitely for you.

Previous turnouts have seen thousands of visitors flock to the civic center, and this year is no different.  The YWCA is expecting an estimated 6,000-10,000 people to visit this year. Adding to the value of the bazaar, Tinsel & Tidings also offers different entertainment, attractions, and concessions to keep the holiday arts and crafts fair fun for the entire family.

All revenue will go to benefit the YWCA Paris and Lamar County. The YWCA Paris was established in 1967 and has served women of Lamar County and Paris for more than 40 years. The group’s goal has always been to eliminate racism and empower women by providing many different successful programs and services that have helped enlighten, enrich, entertain, and empower women of Lamar County and their families.
