At a celebratory ‘Open House’ last week, the new studio filled with dancers, as DMDC welcomed many new sign-ups. Enough to completely fill up Danielle’s dance classes, leaving only openings in the newly added Zumba dance.
The new studio features a 2100 square foot, wood dance floor, with a 6 ft high mirror wall. There is also an office and a ‘parents’ room.
The studio will soon be available to the public to rent for parties and gatherings.
As well as adding Zumba, DMDC also introduces a new instructor, Tammy Johnston. As a certified Zumba, Zumbatonic and Zumba Toning instructor, Johnston will teach classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on February 5th, with a ‘Kickoff’ class on Saturday, February 2, that is completely FREE.
“Tammy has been teaching Zumba for over 2 years, and she’s ready to help you reach your fitness goals by making exercise fun and rewarding,” stated owner and instructor, Danielle Mckee.
Zumba Fitness targets all body parts and is an intense workout. The greatest part, however, is that it feels more like a party. The Latin and World Songs’ rhythms that are used bring something very different and exciting to the experience.
“But caution needs to be added, Zumba is definitely addicting,” stated new DMDC Zumba instructor, Tammy Johnston. ”Once you start, you won’t want to stop.”
If you’d like to try it out and get a feel for what Zumba has to offer. Go and try out the ‘Kickoff’ class on Saturday, February 2. This first class is completely FREE and you can sign up for more classes if you are interested.
Be on the lookout for upcoming performances by the award winning Danielle McKee Dance Company Competition Team. With a team of ten dancers, they will perform on February 9th at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Irving, February 23rd at the Dr. Pepper Park in Frisco, and March 23rd & 24th at the University of North Texas in Denton.
