Blossom’s Merrol Ray & The Regulators will take the stage this Friday night at The River Bar & Grill inside the Choctaw Casino in Grant, Oklahoma, at 9:30 p.m.

Merrol Ray & The Regulators are an outlaw country band from Blossom, featuring vocalist/guitarist Merrol Ray, bassist/vocalist Jeremy Lee, guitarist Jacob “Shipwreck” Shipman, and drummer Jason Thompson.
Most remember Ray as the singer/guitarist of the now-defunct Miles From Nowhere, who won the Dallas-based Shiner Rising Star competition in 2006.
The band, which broke up in 2008, also featured current Pearl Street Riot main-man Wesley Joe Malone on the drums.
The musicians who worked on the Ray’s 2009 solo début, Stanley, eventually became his permanent backing band under the moniker The Regulators. The band’s live set often includes songs from Ray’s days in Miles From Nowhere, and a very eclectic range of covers songs from rock, to country, and even rap.
Future MR&R dates include Saturday, January 26, at the Kiotee Club in Denison; Saturday, February 9, at VFW Post 7875 in Honey Grove; and Friday, March 1, at Toby Keith Bar & Grill inside the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
