CMA and TMA Award winning songwriters to perform at LMAO Comedy on Saturday

On Saturday, September 29, Paris Texas will be lucky enough to have the opportunity to see two true songwriting greats.  Both artists have won prestigious awards for their work and have honed their skills as live performers.  This will be a treat, don’t miss it.  The show starts at 8pm.

Tickets are only $20 and they are available at www.lmaotexas.com or Girls & Cake, in Downtown Paris.  For more information about the show, call 903-785-LAFF.

Susan Gibson is the winner of a CMA Award for writing the very popular and familiar song, “Wide Open Spaces”, performed by the Dixie Chicks.  She has performed all over the world on numerous tours, as well as showcased her music at the Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, TN in 2011.

A native of Texas, Gibson has composed many songs, on several albums, most of which, have all been released to acclaim from both critics and fans.

There is a message at the bottom of her website in bold font that reads, ‘singer, songwriter, dang good live show’.  In a ‘nutshell’, that’s Susan Gibson.

A local favorite and Texas Music Association award winner, Michael O’Neal, will also be performing with Gibson.  O’Neal will start things off at 8pm.

If you’ve not seen a show of Michael O’Neal’s, you’re missing out.  He has a lyrical, story-telling type songwriting style, with a unique voice.  He is a long-time, known Paris songwriting great.

Both of these premier performers will be at LMAO Comedy, 12 NE 1st St. Paris, TX.  Although neither are official comedians, both are guaranteed to bring some very funny and entertaining stories of the road and the glory of the ‘road musicians’ life.
