Paris Bakery’s Saturday pizza nights feature local musicians

The Pairs Bakery has come to be known for a lot of things — along with, yet not limited to, superb bread, of course — but also great lunch-time sandwiches, mouth-watering desserts, cookies, lattes, coffee, soups, specialty recipes, and tons more.

Here lately though, their Saturday pizza nights, have grown in popularity, if not only for their incredible, hand-made pizza alone, but also for the free, live patio performances by some of Paris’ best songwriters and musicians.

The bakery hosts their weekly pizza nights on every Saturday from 5:30pm-9:00pm.  During the evening hours on Saturday, the Bakery is BYOB for the adults to bring wine or other beverages, and the patio offers a great setting for a nice dinner and some great live music.

On Saturday, September 1, Max Jones (right) and Rodney Key (left) filled the Bakery with a variety of different musical blends.  Rodney offered up some classic acoustic blues, strumming out songs by greats like Lightning Hopkins, while Max finished the night with his songwriting expertise and his rhythmic, island-stlye music.

Next Saturday, September 8, the Draggin’ Man will be the musical act featured for pizza night.  With songwriting very unique and music full of blues and funk influences, the Draggin’ Man is best with just his acoustic in hand.  (Click the photo on the left to visit the Draggin’ Man’s Facebook page.)

With unbelievable pizza and tons of other great items, the Paris Bakery is your best stop for Paris-made, hand cooked — even all natural — food.

The live acoustic music is just a bonus, which now also makes the Bakery a really great live music venue right in the heart of our beautiful, historic Downtown.
