PCT prepares for musical classic, Into the Woods

Packed with comedy, drama and lots of Paris’ best actors and actresses, Into the Woods is a Tony Award winning play, intertwining the lives of several of your favorite fairy tale characters.  Set to be the ’kick off’ event for PCT’s 2012-2013 season, the production runs August 9-12 and 16-19, 2012 at the Plaza Theatre and is sponsored by Kimberly Clark and Dr. Richard Grossnickle.

Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and the original story of a Baker and his wife’s pursuit to start a family all come together for a great bit of laughter and moving lessons about community responsibility and the stories to one day be passed to our children.

Into the Woods was written by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine and is produced here with special arrangements by Music Theatre International under the direction of Tim Wood and asisstant director, Lisa Martin.  Musical Direction by Sydney Young and stage design by John Presley Wright.  Costume Design by Alan Jones, Lighting Design by Josh Maxwell, Choreography by Amy Braswell-Burrows, Music Conductor, Steven Pyles and Movement Consultant, Laura Hutchins.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 903-784-0259 or emailing pct@1starnet.com.  Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sunday Matinee at 2:30 pm.
