Chisum Students Place in the Ft. Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo

Several Chisum ISD students participated and placed in the 2014 Ft. Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo.

chisumFFAFirst was Tyler Hicks with his Shorthorn heifer at the 2014 Ft. Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo. They placed 6th in the Jr. Shorthorn Heifer Show. This is also a Ft. Worth Scramble heifer that Tyler bought from participating in the 2013 FTW Calf Scramble.

Chisum FFA Senior Metz Branch finished his last Ft. Worth Livestock Show with Pistol Annie and 4th place in the Beefmaster Jr. Heifer Show. Metz raised Annie on his family ranch.

Also competing was Chisum FFA member Payton Pridemore. Payton placed 4th in Class #2 Angus Market Steers at the 2014 Ft. Worth Market Steer Show. This placing put him in the Sale of Champions where his steer sold for over $8,500.00. Almost 1,500 steers showed, and only 290 made the sale. Payton was #111!

8th grader Trey Denny placed 3rd in Class #12 European Cross Market Steers at the 2014 Ft. Worth Market Steer Show. This placing also put him in the Sale of Champions where his steer sold for over $8,500.00. Almost 1,500 steers showed, and only 290 made the sale. Trey was #109!
