Two Chisum students get poems published

Michaela Clark and Keziree Booker recently had their poems published.

As English I students in Mrs. Swaim’s class, the young ladies entered the CELEBRATING YOUNG POETS Competition by submitting poems that focused on the Civil Rights Movement.

Lady Mustangs take home 1st place at North Hopkins Tournament

Chisum Lady Mustangs participated in the North Hopkins Tournament on August 23rd and 25th. Out of sixteen teams, the Lady Mustangs came home with the championship title.

Chisum Lady Mustangs take third place at Mt. Pleasant Volleyball Tourney

Chisum Lady Mustangs recently participated in the Mt. Pleasant Volleyball Tournament. They brought home the third place trophy. Congratulations to Coach Smith and all of the Varsity Lady Mustangs on a job well done!

Austin University coach conducts volleyball camp at Chisum

Coach Ed Garza — head coach for Austin University — is conducting a volleyball camp at Chisum this week.  He has years of experience and knows how to teach the skills and techniques it takes to win.

Over the past 19 years, he has qualified 14 teams to play in the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships.
