Brianna Rogers reads the bullying announcement over the intercom for students at Chisum Elementary. Weekly announcements encourage students to stand against bullying in our school.

All children who have perfect attendance are put in a drawing and at the end of the Quarter one name is
drawn for the Wal-Mart gift card. Alex Gribble is our winner for the second quarter and is being presented the
Wal-Mart gift card by our principal Wendy Ruthart.
Force, Energy, Motion Science Unit
Students could make use of any household materials available to them, with the EXCEPTION of pre-existing toys. The toy could not contain any parts that were from real toys.
Each toy had to have at least one moving part.
They had to:
- come up with an original name for the toy
- tell how they got the idea for the toy
- list the materials used in making the toy
- tell the process they took in making the toy
Chisum Elementary 5th grade won our Food Drive bringing 543 items for needy families. They were treated to a Pizza Party on Thursday for the win. In all, our campus donated almost 1500 food items for families in our district. They are joined by their teachers, Connie Barnett, Wyndi Hall, and Shannon Hooge
This week Chisum 4th graders collected items for the soldiers that shipped out of Paris for a 400 day stint in Afganistan on 11-1-11. In this picture, Sarah Hunt, Jada Rogers, and Hope Mackey send them off at the Paris Post Office with help from Postal clerk, Terri Martin.
