The Paris High School theatre department presented its first play of the 2013-2014 season with the the production Talking With…. The cast will hit the stage for its final performances on Sept. 23 and 24.
Bringing an extraordinary insight into how life has left its mark on each of the characters, the first two presentations, held on Sept. 16 and 17, brought success and the theatre department extends invitations the public to attend the last two shows.
“Winner of the 1982 American Theatre Critics Association Award, Best Regional Play, Talking With… presents characters who share with us the way in which life has touched each of them,” Paris ISD spokesman Jeanne Kraft said.
“These extraordinary monologues received a standing ovation at Louisville’s Actors Theatre where they were first presented,” she said. “These characters amuse, move and frighten, always speaking from the depths of their souls.”
The characters of Talking With… include:
“The cast includes the talents of Shelby Wilson, Caroline James, Molly Jackson, Maggie Maxwell, Kala Vickers, Erin Wright, Ana Luna, D.J. Samuels, and Alex Montellano,” Kraft said.
The theatre department is located in the Fine Arts wing off Collegiate Drive on Dylan Ballard Drive — across from the tennis courts. Curtain time is at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
