Aikin students Fuel Up to Play

Laurie Trapp, Aikin PE teacher, talks to 3rd and 4th grade students about Fuel Up to Play.

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a free and fun nutrition and physical activity program created by the National Dairy Council (NDC), our local Dairy Council and the National Football League (NFL), in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture.

The goal of the program is to engage students, to work together with adults, to create and make long-term healthy changes in our school.

The PE staff challenges each of our students to sign this pledge that says, “I will energize my body and mind by eating healthy; I will be active at least 60 minutes each day”.

We are making the pledge; will you guys make it with us?

Fuel Up to Play 60 and let’s make Aikin Elementary full of energized and active students.
