Monday’s session of the Paris Independent School District board of trustees saw a changing of the guard as President Dave Eisele left and new member Jenny Wilson came on board.
“As of this point, I am no longer on the board of trustees,” Eisele said after Jane Golden, the superintendent’s administrative assistant, gave the oath of office to Wilson and Place 1 member George Fisher.

Eisele had served on the board since 2000, including six years as president.
“It was an honor and a privilege to serve with you,” Fisher told him.
A total of 116 votes were cast in the Place 6 election on May 12, with 101 cast for Wilson and 14 for Trase Christian. Fisher ran unopposed for reelection.
Fisher, who had served as the board’s vice president, was elected president. Dr. Bert Strom was named vice president and Rebecca Norment as secretary. All three votes were unanimous.
“Thank you for your confidence and allowing me to serve as your board president,” Fisher said.
