PHS Senior Justin Hutchinson has qualified for the state finals in accounting on May 22 in Austin after placing second at the Region 2-3A Academic Spring Meet Saturday at Texas A&M-Commerce.
According to accounting coach Eric Chaverria, “Justin put in an enormous amount of practice and effort. Four of the top teams in the state are in Region 2-3A making it the most competitive. He also competed against 2nd and 3rd year students. He missed 1st place by one question and compared to all the regions in the state he had the second highest score.”
