As part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) community Service and Youth Activities program, members of the Lamar County Post 3990 retired the American flag at Everett Elementary and replaced it with a new one. Bud Mackey, Holly Bond, and Marcel Cooke raised and saluted the new flag then led Amy Bolton’s second grade class in the Pledge of Allegiance.
