Alumni encourage students to make college applications a priority

After just a few minutes of hearing Danny Hossley speak to the North Lamar High School AVID II, III and IV students, it was evident that this Mississippi State University alumnus is passionate about his alma mater.

Hossley and Dr. Bill Hudnall, former Cooper High School counselor and TAMU faculty member, visited students at North Lamar High School to tell them about MSU and explain the application requirements for acceptance into the university.  The MSU alumni shared the importance of making it a priority to take the ACT and SAT and to fill out the online application early.

Hossley arranged for thirty-six NLHS AVID students to tour MSU Labor Day weekend.   In addition to finding out what is required for college entry, the students experienced a Bulldog football game and pre-game festivities.
