Bailey 4th and 5th grade students at North Lamar ISD will be competing to earn a traveling trophy for their classrooms by collecting Box Tops for Education and Tyson Project A+™ labels. Reminding everyone to write their names on the backs of the labels for a drawing every six weeks are 4th graders Bryce Hollenshead and Ellie Ables along with 5th graders Holden Stone and J. J. Johnson.
Bailey Intermediate students are collecting labels to earn money for their school by participating in the Box Tops for Education and the Tyson Project A+™ campaigns this year.
The Bailey Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has set a goal this school year to collect 8,000 Box Tops. Each top is worth .10¢ when the school redeems them from Box Tops for Education.
“There are three easy ways people can help,” said Bailey Project Coordinator Janna Moody. “Clip the Box Tops from hundreds of participating products and send them to school, shop online at your favorite online store through the Box Tops Marketplace® at boxtops4education.com/marketplace, and sign up to support our school at boxtops4education.com.”
Moody continues, “By signing up online, you can see how much our school is earning with Box Tops, enter online promotions for chances to win eBoxTops and other prizes, and print coupons for your favorite Box Tops brands.”
Another way to help Bailey Intermediate School is to clip and save the entire Project A+™ label from participating Tyson products. Participating schools can earn up to $12,000 per academic year, and there are no restrictions on how the funds are used.
“We can use the money for anything we need – field trips, computer equipment, sports gear, library books – anything!” said Bailey Principal Missy Starnes.
Each label we collect is worth .24 cents for our school,” said Moody. “A collection site has been set up in the office at Bailey Intermediate, where parents and others can drop off their Tyson Project A+™ redemption labels.”
These programs can be a huge success for participating schools if everyone in the community clips and saves Box Tops for Education and Tyson Project A+™ labels.
