What’s in Your Paper Bag?

Bailey 4^th grade language arts teacher, Michelle Brazeal, gave her students a homework assignment on inferencing.  Students were given a brown paper bag and instructed to place an object in their bag that represents them.  They placed an index card on the bag with five clues, as to what was in their bag, for their classmates to infer, or guess.  Pictured is Cody Ausmus who brought a turkey’s foot and beard.  The unusual item grabbed the attention of his classmates.
