Two Chisum students selected to perform in Four States Honor Bands

On Saturday, January 17, two Chisum High School band students were selected to perform in the Four States Honor Bands at the Sullivan Performing Arts Complex in Texarkana, Texas.

Comprised of over 250 students and representing 55 schools, the Honor Bands represent some of the finest student musicians in the four states area.

Senior Flute player Jessica Newton, daughter of Jerry and Phyllis Newton, was selected to the Symphonic Band.  This will be Jessica’s third selection to the band.  Senior Flute player Anna Preston, daughter of Dr. Kieth and Jennifer Preston, was selected to the Concert Band.  The was Anna’s second selection to the band.
