The Chisum Independent School District board of trustees is slated to consider Superintendent Diane Stegall‘s resignation Monday.
The agenda for the meeting, slated for 5:30 p.m. in the Chisum ISD Administration Building, includes discussion with the district’s attorney and possible action “to approve resignation of superintendent of schools and approve voluntary exit agreement.”
It was unclear whether the resignation came at Stegall’s behest or the board’s. The superintendent said she preferred not to comment until after the meeting.
“It’s on the agenda to consider my resignation and voluntary exit agreement,” she said. “I guess the board is not happy with my leadership.”
The agenda also includes consideration of contracts for the assistant superintendent, elementary school principal and assistant principal, middle school principal, and the high school principal and assistant principal.
