On January 23rd, Chisum FFA member Metz Branch placed 2nd with his Beefmaster heifer at the Fort Worth Stock Show. She was also the high placing Bred and Owned heifer in that class.
On January 26th, Chisum FFA member Jamie Landers placed 2nd with her Hereford heifer and Jamie Placed 8th out of 60 contestants in the Superintendent’s Heifer Challenge and was awarded a $4000 scholarship for her efforts.
On January 28th, Chisum FFA member Laramie Huie won second place and Reserve Division Champion with his Simmental Heifer.
On Sat. February 1st Chisum FFA member Trent Evans placed 4th out of 64 entries in the Middle Weight market goat show.
On Sat February 2nd Chisum FFA member Calli West won Reserve Grand Champion Overall Angus Heifer in the Open Angus Show. Her heifer was in competition against other breeders and ranches from all across the United States. Ms. West also placed 2nd with her Angus heifer and was awarded the honor of 2nd best showman in the entire Jr. Angus show.
