In a community-wide event hosted by Zone 32, nationally recognized speaker Michael Dean Chadwick (pictured) will share his message of faith using personal life stories and struggles resulting from a life dominated by drug and alcohol addiction.
Ally and father-in-law to #32 Texas Rangers’ Josh Hamilton who gave him the nickname “Big Daddy”, Chadwick speaks to groups of all ages and in various venues throughout the United States. He is known for his relevant, motivational, humorous, and inspirational approach.
The event, ‘What You Gonna Do?’, is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on September 25th at Love Civic Center and is open to the public at no charge. Autographed baseballs and a jersey will be given away during the night.
He’ll recap the story of when his best friend offered him marijuana as a young teen, and how he had no idea how the drug would change the course of his future. Chadwick will address ‘Choices’, ‘Who you count on during your times of struggle?’, and getting involved with safe, supportive peer groups such as the one he supports locally, Zone 32.
The power of Chadwick’s personal testimony has impacted thousands of people from high school students, to athletic programs – both amateur and professional, to large church audiences, to business professions, to radio audiences. Additionally, he speaks on behalf of, and is an advocate for, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
Chadwick’s life and work are based on the idea of “paying it forward.” His philosophy is that people should use their talents and abilities to do something great for those who do not have the means to do it for themselves. He hopes the idea will catch on; that the person helped will want to “pay the favor forward” to someone else.
Plan to attend this event on September 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Love Civic Center. Chadwick’s incredible story of perseverance and outlook on life will inspire all.
