Paris Optimist Hiring New Executive Director
Larry Rhea, President of the Paris Optimist Club, announced today that the Board has voted to hire an Executive Director.
The Executive Director report directly to the Board of Directors of the Paris Optimist Club and will be responsible for overseeing the Youth Baseball program, Club Administration, finances, fundraising and concessions.
The Paris Optimist Club runs the fall and spring youth baseball program at Woodall Field.
The Executive Director position will experience seasonal high level work demands and independent decision-making. The Executive Director will interact frequently with the Board of Directors, as well as other community leaders as needed.
To perform this job successfully, qualified candidates must be able to exhibit each knowledge, skill, and ability and be able to relate successfully to a broad spectrum of people, particularly with children and their families. The candidate should also have excellent skills in managing volunteer members and projects, with the ability to set goals and track both individual and team progress.
Qualified applicants may possess any combination of education and experience enabling them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Prefer previous experience in managing a non-profit organization. Incumbent should have experience with fundraising, budgeting, management, contract negotiations, volunteer requirement and vendor relationships.
