Premier Home Care & Hospice occupies former R3bi building
“We love the facility and are so glad that we were able to obtain such a nice building,” CEO and owner, Jeanna Smith, said of the move.
Premier Home Care & Rehab has been in business since 2005, adding their sister company, Premier Hospice, in 2007.
The new home office, located at 1445 Clarksville Street and centered in Williamsburg Shopping Center, provides a 9,000 square feet work area . The interior has been fully remodeled and converted to office space and a back portion of the facility is to be remodeled to add the Northeast Texas Linen Service shop (which is a sister company also).
“The business decided to move in order to compensate for recent growth, while preparing for future expansion,” Administrator Chris Johnson said.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has accredited the agency to provide full home health services, which includes, but is not limited to, registered nurses; certified nurse aides; physical, speech and occupational therapists; and social workers, who — by doctors’ orders — make routine visits to the patients in their homes, following a strict ‘plan of care’.
Premier Home Care & Rehab is one of the only locally owned and operated home health agencies in Lamar County named deficiency-free during their most recent survey by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS).
Premier Hospice is accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), which certifies the agency to perform all that is required in hospice care by the government for patients and their families during the difficult times of losing someone you love.
CHAP is an independent, nonprofit, accrediting body for community-based health care organizations, which accredits hospice programs and services. CHAP is the oldest national community-based accrediting body that defines and advances the highest quality of community-based hospice care.
Through the “deeming authority” granted by the federal government, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CHAP and the Office of Inspector General, who all have the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice and home medical equipment services at any time to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards.
Premier Home Care & Rehab and Premier Hospice continue to exceed all standards, continuing to prove to be one of the best agencies for home care and hospice services in Northeast Texas.
“The new office has been an excellent addition to our corporate family,” Business Development Coordinator Josh Allen said. “With more space, we can now fully house our management company, Legacy Corporate Management Group — who manages Premier Home & Rehab, Premier Hospice, Northeast Texas Linen Service, and Paris Tan & Spa Company — and move the entire Northeast Texas Linen Service shop and office here also, which is currently in a building on Lamar Ave.”
“Our goal was to get the businesses that Legacy Corporate Management Group operates under one roof,” he said. “I think this will accomplish that.”
To celebrate the move a Lamar County Chamber Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be scheduled, with the date announced at a later time.
