- A Special Kind of Care -
Pediatric Hospice provides care to infants, children and to adolescents who have life-limiting conditions. Since each child will respond differently to illness and treatment, a unique care plan will be developed for each child.
Hospice does not mean you are giving up on your child. Hospice does not mean there is no hope. Hospice is a special kind of care that helps you to provide the best possible feeling for your child in your home where the child feels safe and loved. Home is the place you have total control in the method of care for your child.
Hospice care does not take the place of the parent/caregiver, but is available to provide assessment of the child’s condition, work with the physician to provide pain and symptom control, teach, support and assist in what ever way will help lighten the load for the children and family.
