The field of 17 entries in the Red River Region Business Incubator’s business plan competition have been narrowed to six finalists.
Judges analyzed each business plan entry in 10 criteria resulting in the top five scores, including one tie. The winner will be announced in about two weeks. Finalists are:
Each finalist must now submit a 3- to 5-minute YouTube video presentation of the business plan to the judges by Oct. 1. The judges will re-score the six plans after viewing the presentations.
The winning contestant will be presented the check for $10,000 at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce Live @ Five event at the R3bi facility at 5 p.m. Oct. 11. Live @ Five is open to the public.
Judges for the contest included professionals from Central Florida University Incubator Network, The Kelly School of Business at Indiana University, West Texas A&M University Incubation Works, and the Casper Wyoming Area Economic Development Authority.
