R3bi director, Fred Green participated of a full day of presentations to the 176th Engineering Brigade of the Texas National Guard. Approximately 90% of the unit is from the Dallas Ft. worth metroplex. The event was sponsored by the Texas Military Family Yellow Ribbon Program at the Crown Plaza Riverwalk in San Antonio on Saturday. The program was directed at Guard members and their families on return from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. The presentations included motivational sessions, aspects of finding a job, educational programs and other avenues to a successful life after service. Fred presented the guidelines and procedures for starting a business in the State of Texas with an emphasis on veteran resources.
The program also included booths from over 25 organizations providing services to veterans. Fred was assisted by his wife, Sandy, in the booth. R3bi literature was distributed and over 40 veterans were counseled and then referred to their local Small Business Development Center
