The Paris Police Department was busy over the weekend, as officers responded to 327 calls for service and made 26 arrests from March 28 through March 30, according to Paris PD spokesman, Curtis Garrett.
Randale Gwen McKinney, 29 of Paris, was arrested on Sunday, March 30, just after noon when he was stopped for a traffic violation at which time he was found to not have a driver’s license. McKinney admitted to being in possession of marijuana. Police located a metal container inside the vehicle that contained numerous baggies of marijuana packaged to sale. He was charged with delivery of marijuana (more than a 1/4 pound but less than 5 pounds), which is a third degree felony.
Other arrests made by police over the weekend were on charges including manufacture/delivery of controlled substance, public intoxication, failure to appear, failure to yield to right of way, failure to maintain financial responsibility, theft, unsafe backing, violation of promise to appear, seat belt/child safety, possession of marijuana, driving with license invalid, failure to display driver’s license, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired operator license and failure to attend school.
