A Hugo man who was stopped for speeding ended up in more serious trouble when Paris police officers not only found there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest but found a baggie of synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle.
Larry Darnell Glover, 25, who formerly lived in the 800 block of Northeast 8th Street in Paris, was charged also with possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Lamar County Jail.
The traffic stop was in the 4200 block of N. Main Street for speeding and found the driver to have an outstanding warrant.
Police officers responded to 331 calls for service over the three-day weekend, resulting in 22 arrests, department spokesman Curtis Garrett said.
