About 11:15 p.m. Sunday, a “concerned citizen” summoned police officers to report that a driver was weaving all over the roadway.
Officers arrested Jose Angel Gonzales, 29, of 36 NW 31st St., in the 500 block of Southwest 7th Street for driving while intoxicated, police department spokesman Curtis Garrett said.
Garrett said officers observed the vehicle make several traffic violations. Once officers stopped the vehicle, Gonzales was found to be intoxicated, Garrett said.
He was booked into the Lamar County Jail, where bond was set at $2,000.
About 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Andrew Blake Hancock, 29, of 109 NW 19th St., was taken into custody when police officers responded to a disturbance in the 3200 block of Cleveland St.
Hancock fled the scene, Garrett said, and was located later in the 400 block of SE 33rd St.
Hancock was charged with possession of a dangerous drug when he was found to be in possession of a prescription medication that he could not produce a prescription for. Bond was set at $5,000.
