Police Chief Bob Hundley:

“We have been suffering a rash of burglaries, mostly residential over the past 30 days.

“Although investigations on these burglaries have already led to recovery of property and some suspects identified, the department is asking for assistance from our citizens in two manners.

“We believe some of these burglaries have taken place during the daytime, and we need help in identifying suspects.

“If you live in the areas around these burglary locations and saw something unusual, please give us a call.

“For prevention efforts, we ask that people give us a call when they see unusual activity or persons hanging around residences where no one is home. We ask that you think of making your house a ‘harder’ target by making sure doors are closed and locked.

“Our investigators are making progress in these investigations, and some arrests are expected but we still need the public’s assistance in the way of information.”
