Paris police investigate complaints of indecent exposure, crack cocaine

Paris Police responded to a call of indecent exposure in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave where it was reported that a white male had approached the victim as she was entering her vehicle to leave a parking lot and exposded himself to her. The incident is under investigation.

paris police carOn March 08, 2013, 20 year old Jorge Ortiz, of Paris was arrested for burglary of a habitation when Paris Police Officers executed a search warrant for his residence and located numerous items that had been reported as stolen in a burglary on March 05, 2013. Ortiz was also charged with possession of marijuana which was laso located inside the residence.

49 year old Vestal Cardell Cooper of Paris was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of NE 7th St when it was found that Cooper was in possession of crack cocaine. While officers had Cooper detained, Cooper was observed swallowing other crack cocaine and was subsequently charged with tampering with evidence.

Over the past 72 hours, Paris Police responded to 288 calls for service including 3 Burglaries of residences, seven thefts, one indecent exposure, twelve disturbances and two deceased persons and arrested 31 persons.
