Police contend with almost continuous burglary reports; More reported on Thursday

PoliceParis police continue to get burglary calls, as officers responded to the 3400 block of Miller’s Place where it was reported that someone had gained access to a residence and stolen numerous items from within the house, according to Paris PD Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.

The victim told officers that they had been away from the residence for a week and upon returning, found the items missing.  The incident is under investigation.

Eric Marsell Haggerton, 18, of Paris, was arrested on Thursday on a warrant for burglary of a vehicle. While searching Haggerton, officers also located a controlled substance in his possession.  He was then booked and transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 94 calls for service and arrested thirteen persons on Thursday, February 28.
