Officers responded to 87 calls for service, while arresting 7 people over the 24 hour period of February 11, according to Paris Police Chief Bob Hundley.
Just a note for anyone with outstanding Municipal Class C warrants:
“Contacting the court and making arrangements can only benefit the person with the outstanding warrant(s),” stated Chief Hundley.
On January 3rd, officers took a report of a disturbance in which a suspect was alleged to have thrown bleach into a victim’s face and residence. Investigation into this case resulted in warrants being issued for the perpetrator. The victim was not severely injured in the attack.
Yesterday, while officers investigated a disturbance at a local restaurant, the suspect in that altercation was checked for warrants and ended up being the same suspect involved in the bleach incident, according to police.
Shakayla Moshaw McCuin, 23, was arrested on warrants for class “A” assault and criminal mischief on that case. She was also charged with possession of marijuana along with an unrelated theft warrant. No charges were filed in relation to the disturbance call at the restaurant.
Other arrests included a parole violation warrant, a theft which became felony grade due to previous convictions and 2 other municipal court warrant arrests.
