Bunch, 61, supposedly had gotten into an argument with Charles William Jones, 29, at Bunch’s home on the 2800 block of Willow Bend Drive in Paris before he was shot.

Sources told police that the victim was the boyfriend of Bunch’s daughter, and he was shot over an argument he had earlier with the woman’s father. Jones was rushed to Paris Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the police report, Bunch was at the scene when police arrived, and he had told police he had been involved in the shooting. Bond was set at $250,000 by 6th District Court Judge Eric Clifford, where Bunch posted bond and has remained free since.

Former Tarrant County DA prosecutor Lloyd Whelchel has been assigned to the case. Bunch’s arraignment has been set for February 20.
