A man reported a robbery to Paris police on Friday, after meeting a woman at Wade Park, where he was assaulted and robbed by her and an unknown male suspect, according to Paris Police Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.
On November 30, 2012, officers responded to a call for robbery that had occurred in the 2400 block of Pine Bluff St. The victim advised that he had met a female at Wade Park that he had been texting about having sex for money, according to Officer Garrett.
Upon meeting and speaking with the female, an unknown male appeared from behind the victim and assaulting him. The female then assaulted the victim as well and removed money from his wallet. The incident is currently under investigation.
Over the weekend, Paris Police had a relatively uneventful weekend. Officers responded to a total of 289 calls for service and made 22 adult arrests. All arrests were misdemeanor offenses.
