Two cars collided earlier today at the intersection of Lamar and 1st Street, Downtown, Paris.
A black, ‘lifted’, extended cab Silverado hit a smaller Pontiac Sunfire in the driver side door.
Judging by the scene, it looked as if both cars were making an attempt — at the same time — to turn and head south down 1st Street.
Minor injuries were reported, and according to emergency personnel at the scene, ‘the drivers were shaken and scratched up a bit, but no one was seriously hurt.’
The two vehicles were carried away by wrecker trucks.
With the construction on the Grand Theatre and the blocking of areas to prepare for the Festival of Pumpkins, the wreck added to a delay in traffic Downtown. Be careful as this construction and area blocking will continue for a short time.
