Two were arrested over the weekend for possession of controlled substances in Drug Free Zones and other charges, according to Paris Police Chief, Bob Hundley.
Paris police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 25th NW from a caller report of a suspicious vehicle around a vacant resident.

Officers made contact with and identified, Bruce Larkin, 49, who had been at the house. A routine check of the suspect indicated two outstanding Paris municipal court warrants; officers placed him under arrest.

According to police, in a search of Larkin prior to transport, he was found to be in possession of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance and two other substances listed in Penalty Group 3, all within a Drug Free Zone. Those charges were filed, as well as the outstanding warrants.
Detectives, executing a search warrant in the 300 block of 19th SE, found Joshua Flick, 31, to be in possession of penalty group 3 and 4 drugs, also in a Drug Free Zone, along with marijuana and a stolen television set.
He was arrested and charged with felony drug possession, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, and theft under $500.
From Friday through Sunday at midnight, Paris police officers answered 332 calls for service, while arresting 11 people.
