After attempting to pass a forged check at a local bank and leaving the scene, a female suspect was arrested on a Forgery of a Financial Instrument charge, due to good work by bank employees in identifying the suspect, according to Paris Police Chief, Bob Hundley.
On Tuesday, October 2, a female suspect walked into a local bank and attempted to pass a forged check on a closed account.
Bank employees asked the woman to wait for a few minutes as they verified the account and called police. Before officers could arrive, the suspect fled the scene.
According to Chief Hundley, the bank employees did an excellent job of identifying the suspect, and after subsequent investigation by police, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the identified, Tiffany Renee Robinson, 22, charging her with Forgery of a Financial Instrument.
Seven people were arrested on Paris municipal court warrants on Tuesday. Other arrests included a parole violation warrant, an assault, a public intoxication and a forgery. Officers responded to 140 calls for service in the 24 hour period of October 2.
