Officers with the Paris Police Department were dispatched to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident in the 2500 block of Graham Street on Saturday, September 8, where 22-year-old female, Jada Madrid, was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle, according to Paris Police Chief, Bob Hundley.
Madrid was airlifted to a Plano area hospital for treatment on serious injuries, which included an obvious fractured leg.
Investigation indicates that two vehicles were attempting to race each other in the street when one struck Madrid.
According to police, the driver of that vehicle, Tory Ellis, stopped and remained at the scene, but the other vehicle fled before officers arrived.
The fleeing vehicle was reportedly driven by Ryan McCray, whom officers are looking for now.
No arrests had been made at the time of this release and investigation into the incident continues.
