Over the past 24 hours, Officers responded to 106 calls for service in the City of Paris and 4 people were arrested. The charges filed were Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, Possession of Marijuana, Fail to Identify, Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, theft, and traffic warrants.
As a result of a routine traffic stop, 20 year old, Tiddaryl Lamontre Norris, and 22 year old, Terrell Deon Bush, both of Paris, were arrested on several charges. Officers made the stop in the 1300 block of Tudor St. after the officer observed Norris driving a vehicle with prior knowledge that he did not possess a driver’s license.
Officers immediately smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle upon approaching. Officers located a baggie of crack cocaine in Morris’ possession and placed him under arrest. The passenger was then removed from the vehicle. A marijuana cigarette was located inside the band of his shorts and he was placed under arrest. Officers later located more marijuana on the passenger who was identified as Terrell Deon Bush, who had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
During a security check of an abandoned warehouse in the 2600 block of NW Loop 286, Officers located a vehicle that was obscured from view of passer-by’s near the back side of the building. At that time, the vehicle was unoccupied.
The officer heard voices coming from the area of an outbuilding behind the main warehouse. A subject stepped out from behind the outbuilding and was startled by the officer. The officer observed something in the subject’s hand but could not identify what it was. The subject immediately turned around facing away from the officer and upon turning back around, the item was gone. The officer detained two subjects and, as the officer was checking one subject for weapons due to the suspicious behavior, the subject pulled out a baggie of items and threw it. The subject then fled from the officer. The officer detained the second subject and attempted to locate the subject that fled. The incident is under investigation.
Also reported were 3 more Burglaries of residences and 1 burglary of a Business.
