Paris Police Department Press Release – June 25, 2012

Officers were dispatched to PRMC North Campus in reference to a possible Sexual Assault. Officers spoke with the juvenile victim who advised that she had been sexually assaulted by her sister’s fiancé. Officers spoke with the suspect and he denied that anything had taken place. The incident is under investigation.

At about 3:34 A.M. on June 24, 2012, 38 year old Cornelius Raymond Reeves of Paris was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. It had been reported Reeves had been chasing a vehicle that was occupied by the Reeves’ wife. During the chase, Reeves had used his car to ram the other vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. The chase began when Reeves’ wife was brought home by another man. There were no injuries during the incident.

44 year old Karl Edmond Mitchell of Paris was arrested on June 23, 2012 at about 3:30 A.M. on a warrant from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for Unregistered Club-Prohibited Activities. Mitchell was transported to the Paris Police Department for booking and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Officers responded to 110 calls for service on June 22, 2012, 90 Calls for service on June 23, 2012 and 83 calls for service on June 24, 2012.
