Paris Police Department Press Release – June 21, 2012

Over the past 24 hours, 10 people were arrested on the following charges, 9 on warrants, and 1 for possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.

On June 21, 2012 at about 12:41 A.M., Officers were dispatched to 3200 block of NE Loop 286 in reference to a suspicious person. Witnesses told officers that they had arrived on the Toyota of Paris parking lot to look at vehicles and observed an unknown person stand up from between two vehicles. The witnesses advised that they then observed pieces of the vehicle lying on the ground around the vehicle and the unknown person walking away from the area. It was found that the unknown person had removed all of the lug nuts from the vehicle and had tools to remove the wheels and tires from the vehicle. Witnesses described the unknown person as a tall slender white male. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. The incident is under investigation.

On June 20, 2012, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Pine Bluff St. for a defective equipment violation. Officers observed the front passenger lean forward as if trying to conceal an item under the seat. Upon making contact, Officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The Officer inquired as to whether or not marijuana was in the vehicle. The passenger produced some paraphernalia and a baggie of marijuana from under the seat.  Arrested was 24 year old Joshua Logan Allen of Paris.
