Paris Police Investigating a Burglary on Clarksville Street

Paris police suburbanThe Paris Police Department responded to 304 calls for service and arrested 15 persons over the past 72 hour period ending at midnight on July 27, 2014. Several reported crimes remain under investigation.

At about 10:35 A.M. on July 26, 2014, Paris Police responded to a report of a burglary of a business in the 1400 block of Clarksville St. It was reported that someone had entered the business through the back door and had taken numerous items including clothing, jewelry and the cash register. The incident is under investigation.

Also on Saturday, July 26th the Paris Police responded to a report of criminal mischief. Apparently, someone had shot an arrow into the roof of a house in the 1000 block of Cardinal Lane. The owner advised that the arrow appeared to have come from a westerly direction althought the arrow was sticking nearly straight up from the roof. The incident is under investigation.

On Friday, July 25th, at approx. 11:15pm Paris Police responded to a call of a property damage in the 2600 block of Lamar Ave. It was reported that a man inside his apartment picked up his pistol and it accidentally discharged. The bullet traveled through a wall into an adjoining apartment. The resident in the second apartment was not at home at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported and no charges are being sought at this time.
