Abandoned House Fire Early Sunday Morning
The single family dwelling was fully involved when fire units arrived on scene. During the incident fire units had to protect other homes in its close proximity do to the large amount of fire and embers. The structure was an abandoned house that neighbors had occasionally seen people going in and out of in the past.
When fire fighters arrived on scene they found that the fire had made its way into the attic and through the roof. Fire units were on scene for extinguishment and investigation of the fire for approximately five hours. Subsequently the entire home was damage by fire making the structure a total loss.
A firefighter received a minor injury to his hand during this firefighting operation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
