Man Arrested for Fleeing Police found with Marijuana
Paris Police Officers were patrolling in the 1200 block of E Tudor St at about 9:11 P.M. on July 8, 2014 when the officer heard a small engine in the area.
The officer then observed a small motorcycle eastbound with no head light ot tail light. As the officer attempted to stop the motorcycle, the driver attempted to elude the officer by accelerating.
The motorcycle turned north onto NE 14th St and wrecked out at the intersection of NE 14th St and Belmont.
The driver was identified as 29 year old Joe William Acevedo of Paris. Acevedo was arrested and charged with fleeing from a police officer, a misdemeanor. It was later found that Acevedo did not possess a motorcycle license and was in possession of marijuana.
Acevedo only sustained minor injuries when he wrecked the motorcycle.
