Air Conditioning Repair Call Leads to Burglary

Paris police suburbanParis Police responded to a report of a burglary of a residence in the 100 block of NW 30th St. at about 5:53 P.M. on May 29, 2014.

It was reported that the complainant had contacted the owner of the rental house to report that the air-conditioner was not working and the owner made arraingements to have a person repair it.

The owner of the house asked the complainant to leave a side door to the residence unlocked to have access for the repairs. The complainant was not able to make arraingements to be at the residence for the repairs.

When the complainant returned, they found numerous items missing from the residence and the air-conditioner still had not been repaired. The theft resulted in a loss of over $1000. The incident is under investigation.
