Paris teen charged with criminal mischief, assaulting a police officer
A teen-ager expected of being high on some type of narcotics attempted to run from Paris police officers who tried to question him over the weekend at a Paris cafe.
Police department spokesman Curtis Garrett said police officers responded to a call from McKee’s Restaurant shortly after 3 a,m. on Saturday.
Dylan Jaco, 17, of Paris attempted to run from the officers, Garrett said. He then assaulted an officer and damaged a patrol car as he was being transported to the police department, Garrett said.
Jaco admitted that he had used LSD earlier in the evening, Garrett said.
Jaco was charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a public servant, and criminal mischief.
Paris police responded to 263 calls for service over the weekend, resulting in the arrests of 15 individuals, Garrett said.
