Murder-suicide suspected in Saturday morning Paris shooting

paris police carEvidence at the scene of a fatal shooting in west Paris Saturday morning indicates it was a murder-suicide, Police Chief Bob Hundley said Monday.

Victims have been identified as a husband and wife — Terrell Deon Bush, 24, and Emily Kaylyn Bush, 21.

“It is too early in the investigation for that determination to be made, but the department is investigating the crime as a homicide first and will be using ballistic and other forensic tests to make a final determination,” Hundley said.

“A firearm was found close to one of the bodies and is believed to be the weapon used,” Hundley added.

Mrs. Bush’s mother and father said they made repeated calls and texts to their daughter which went unanswered Saturday morning, and no contact with their daughter led them to check on her welfare at the residence, Hundley said.

The bodies were found by Mrs. Bush’s father who immediately called 9-1-1.

Neighbors interviewed by officers indicated there were sounds of a disturbance at the home around 11 p.m. Friday, followed by slamming of doors, the police chier said.
