Update: Motorcyclist reported in critical but stable condition following collision with vehicle on Clarksville Street
A man whose motorcycle collided on Wednesday with a car on Clarksville Street in Paris was listed in critical and stable condition on Friday.
Police did not know his identity on Wednesday, but identified him on Friday as Bruce Freelen, 32, of 2290 Ballard in Paris. Police spokesman Curtis Garrett said Freelen suffered several broken bones and a head injury.
At 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Paris police, fire and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the 1900 Block of
Clarksville Street. Witnesses said the motorcycle was eastbound on Clarksville, following a vehicle that had stopped in the roadway to allow another vehicle waiting in a private drive of a business to turn westbound.
The motorcycle moved into the left turn lane to go around the stopped vehicle and collided into the vehicle exiting the private drive, police were told.
An Eagle Med helicopter flew Freeland to a hospital.
